As SFist, SFWall and other webpages  have all proclaimed, Carole Midgen, San Francisco/Marin/Sonoma's able senator, should run for Mayor in 2008.

Carole has served in the Board of Supervisors, Board of Equalization, State Assembly and State Senate.  A long-time activist from San Francisco, she could create a groundswell of supporters.

Newsom does not reflect the progressive values of San Francisco by:

-His lack of support for tenant issues

-His lack of supoort for closing of Golden Gate Park on traffic on Saturdays

-Voting twice against increased foot patrols in our neighborhoods

-Not battling the sharp increase in crime during his administration.  

-His "Care Not Cash" programs has failed to solve the roots of homelessness

-His lack of initiative to create permanent housing for the homeless as well as affordable housing for working families has created a City that fails the needs of all of our citizens
